Dublin, Ireland, 1985. Conor (Ferdia Walsh-Peelo) is a young man forced to change high school due to the difficult financial condition of his parents, who still fight on and on. Soon he has problems with a local bully, who goes on to chase him, and also with the priest who coordinates the school, due to his strict discipline. Disillusioned, Conor has a breath of hope in meeting Raphina (Lucy Boynton), a girl who is always waiting at the door of the school.
